Emerald Cultural Instituteは1986年に設立され30年以上の長い歴史がある英語学校で、ダブリン市内に2つのキャンパスを構えています。それぞれ治安のよい高級住宅街エリアとダブリン市中心部にあり、好みのキャンパスを選ぶことができます。
開講クラスは、一般英語、スピーキング、IELTS、ケンブリッジ英検をはじめ、個人レッスンやインターンシップ、英語講師専門クラスなど、多岐にわたります。3か月以上滞在する学生は、個別のメンターと定期的に勉強方法や仕事探しなど留学生活について相談することができます。
また、学校手配で、ダブリン市の中でも有数の高級住宅街エリアのホストファミリー宅に滞在することができます。各家庭は、平均10年の受入れ経験があり、アイリッシュホスピタリティを体感することができます。学生寮は、共学寮と女子寮がありホームステイと学生寮の両方を体験することも可能です。

おすすめプログラム
Intensive Course(一般英語コース)
- 期間：2週間〜
- レベル：初級〜上級
インテンシブコース（一般英語）ではスピーキング、リスニング、ライティング、リーディングの4技能をバランス良く学んでいきます。入学初日に実施されるプレイスメントテスト（筆記とスピーキング）で、レベルにぴったり合ったクラスで授業を受けることができます。担任講師が2名つき、定期的にテストを実施して、学生の授業や学習管理などを行います。基礎力に加え、クリティカルシンキングや創造性などの社会スキルが身につくよう、プレゼンやワークショップを行う機会が増えます。
Intensive + Speaking Skills(一般英語+スピーキング)
- 期間：2週間〜
- レベル：初中級〜上級
一般英語に加え、スピーキングクラスを週6時間、火曜から木曜日に2時間ずつ追加することができます。クラスは平均5名、最大8名の少人数で、習った文法や語彙の定着を図りつつ、実践的な状況で使える表現を学習します受講レベルはプレインターメディエイト、目安として英検準2級程度以上となります。
一般英語は11レベル、スピーキングは3レベルに分かれます。
Internship Program(インターンシップ)
- 期間：6週間〜
- レベル：Intermediate(中級)以上
様々な業種の職場で、6週間から半年のインターンシップ（無給）を行います。英語レベルはインターメディエイト（TOEIC550、英検2級程度）からとなり、業種によって、経験・高英語レベルが求められます。通常面接を行い派遣先を選考します。
実施に当たって、学生ビザは25週間、ワーキングホリデービザは4週間以上のコース受講が必要です（観光ビザは不可）。
