一人ひとりの目標や英語力が把握できる中規模サイズの学校で、「遊びも勉強もメリハリをつけてしっかりしたい」という方におすすめです。月曜日～木曜日に出る宿題と、毎週の確認テストで、自分の得意不得意分野を理解し、習った内容を毎週きちんと消化しながら、学習を進めていきます。午後のクラスの選択授業では、弱みを補うことができます。
また、VanWestでは「将来英語を使って働きたい！」という目標を達成して頂けるように、多くの生徒の将来に繋がるコースが開校されています。Co-op（有給インターンシップ）プログラムとビジネス英語BULATSは、実践重視の国際ビジネスに特化したプログラムです。休学留学、キャリアアップ留学におすすめです。

おすすめプログラム
General English(一般英語)
- 期間：1週間〜
- レベル：初級〜上級
午前の「一般英語」で4技能をバランス良く伸ばし、午後の「選択クラス」で苦手分野を克服します。平均6週間かけて1レベルを修了できる内容です。毎週のテストとあわせて、授業内での出来を講師が評価し、それを基にレベルアップの判定が行われます。午後の選択クラスでは発音、コミュニケーション、スピーキング、リスニング、ライティング、文法等、多様なクラスが開講されています。
コミュニティコネクション (ボランティア)
- 期間：1週間〜
- レベル：レベル5以上 (中級)
ケロウナならではの、ネイティブと話すこと/地域社会に携わる事を目的としたコースが開講されています。毎週のトピックに合わせて、クラスでアイディアを出し企画し、最終的には課外活動(社会科見学/ボランティア)に出て実践します。現地のカナダ人たちと触れ合い、ネイティブスピーカーと話すことに対する恐怖心を無くします。気に入ったボランティア先があれば、週末や卒業後に続けることができます。
グローバルカスタマーサービスCo-opサティフィケート
- 期間：36週間
- レベル：レベル8以上/IELTS5.5以上
Co-opとは、プログラムの一環であり、学校で学習した内容と関連する職種で有給で職業体験をする期間を指します。北米で働くために必要なスキルや、就活スキルを座学で身に着け、その後4カ月間有給インターンシップを経験します。ホテル・ワイナリー・ツアーガイド等のインターン実績があり、生徒は完全英語環境の職場で、ホスピタリティの経験を積むことができます。卒業時には、就活力、実践的な英語力、更にカナダの企業での就労経験が得られます！(2020年より座学はバンクーバー校のみで開講されることになりました。引き続きインターンシップ先はケロウナで手配が可能です。)
